About Emma

The earliest I can remember wanting to be an artist is when I was designing things in my Blues Clues CD-ROM game. The thought of being a designer was always just a given in my mind.

I started my professional career the year after I graduated Oakland University with a bachelor’s in graphic design and a minor in studio art. After graduating, I landed my first job at HMS Mfg. Co., where I designed packaging, web and print materials, trade show graphics, and patterns for textile products. I also created the brand Stola from scratch, designing its logo, packaging, website, and promotional materials. This project allowed me to showcase my creativity and design skills.

Currently, I work at Sun Inc. as part of the marketing team, where I develop concepts for various campaigns across the company's brands. Each campaign starts with a theme or concept review, during which the creative team and I brainstorm three different ideas to present to stakeholders. These ideas include a tagline, email design, HTML5 ad design and animation, and tone of voice for the accompanying copy. Once a concept is chosen, we create the requested assets, such as emails, HTML5, social media posts, SEM, Google Ads, and print materials, and present them to stakeholders for feedback. As the lead on several projects, I have honed my leadership skills and extended my design abilities beyond what I thought was possible.
